DAB Studio is seeking an experienced and independent Senior Interior Designer/Architect who designs with depth, drives quality, and creates refined interiors. In our Amsterdam studio, we create residential interiors that feel like works of art. Each project is unique. Carefully composed with attention and expertise.
Your role at DAB As Senior Interior Designer/Architect, you are responsible for both the creative and technical design process. You lead projects through all phases: from developing a design vision to managing the team and coordinating with external parties. You monitor quality, progress and delivery and serve as the content point of contact within the project.
Your responsibilities include • Composing design visions, mood boards and material collages • Developing spatial layouts (2D) and 3D visualizations • Creating technical drawings and presentation drawings • Selecting materials, finishes, furniture and lighting • Preparing and presenting to clients • Managing the design team • Collaborating with contractors, suppliers and specialists • Monitoring deliverables, deadlines and client communication • Overseeing budgets during design and execution
Who you are • You have a completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in (interior) architecture or spatial design • You have at least 5-7 years of relevant work experience • You work in a structured manner and have a strong aesthetic compass • You are independent, take initiative and maintain oversight • You have experience guiding projects from A to Z • You have strong communication skills with clients and team • You work fluently with AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Suite • Proficiency in V-Ray or Enscape is a plus

Medior Designer (freelance or contract base)
We're looking for talented Medior and Senior Designers with exceptional design sensibility and leadership capabilities to join DAB Studio on a freelance or contract basis. You'll guide the design process, lead project teams, and ensure flawless execution from concept to completion of high-end residential projects.
Key responsibilities • Lead the creative design process while maintaining DAB Studio's distinctive aesthetic vision • Manage client relationships and coordinate effectively with (sub)contractors and collaborators • Oversee project planning, timeline management, and budget adherence • Conduct thorough quality control on technical drawings to ensure precision and compliance • Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative design environment
Requirements • Medior position: 3+ years of experience • Fluency in Dutch and English (written and verbal) • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Excel • Exceptional organizational and project management skills • Ability to translate client needs into innovative design solutions • Portfolio demonstrating refined aesthetic sensibility and technical expertise

Interior Architecture and Design intern
Start date February 2026
Duration internship Minimum 6 months
Requirements • Must hold an EU residence permit • Enrolled in or recently graduated from an Architecture or Interior Design program
Skills and qualifications • Creative mindset with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities • Proficient in architectural software including SketchUp and AutoCAD • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign) • Experienced in creating detailed technical drawings and elevations • Understanding of materials, construction techniques, and finishes • Ability to effectively manage time and handle multiple projects simultaneously • Preferably Dutch-speaking with fluent English (both written and verbal)
